Vision Statement
Philosophy
At Townshend we believe that the awareness for the needs of the children are projected in the responsibility of parents and schools in implementing within the everyday lives of the young those essential qualities and attributes needed to safeguard the growing generations against unhappiness and diseases of society.
It is within the power of every parent and every teacher to exercise influence upon the formation of a child’s character. Those carrying the burden of this responsibility must needs be aware of the implications and outcome of their guidance and training. They must serve as examples of fortitude, steadfastness and sacrifice; they must show care, compassion and humbleness; they must generate self-respect, righteousness, the desire to learn and the wish to be a spiritual being.
With these thoughts in mind do we, at Townshend, hope to establish an environment within which, with the co-operation of parents, the endeavor of teachers, the compliance of students, and the support of friends and well-wishers, an independent entity can develop that will serve as an example of a community adorned by spiritual values.
