Writer's Workshop 27.1

This week's Writer's Workshop challenges us to think about what our dream house would be, describe it and be able to explain why this would be the perfect house for us.

Continuing our poetry work, each student will write a Haiku about their dream home. A Haiku is a traditional Japanese poem which has three lines. The lines have a syllable pattern of 5-7-5.

“The Old Pond” by Matsuo Bashō

An old silent pond

A frog jumps into the pond—

Splash! Silence again.
