We invite you to our 4th annual Poetry Slam on Thursday, March 12 from 9:00-10:00 in the Seminar Room. Please join us at 8:30 for coffee and refreshments before the event begins.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, this year's Poetry Slam is a bit different from our traditional event. Next year's will be our normal Charity Poetry Slam.
This year's Poetry Slam will be less formal with a special twist. Amongst the poetry will be a fashion show featuring "up-cycled" clothing handmade by the Upper and Middle Primary students.
The theme for this year is sustainability with a special focus on using our resources wisely. This culminates our learning about how poverty affects our world, how homelessness is a problem that we can all work to solve and how our attitudes and decisions can help make the world a better place step by step.
Donations will be taken at the event to raise money for our charity which provides necessities for the homeless.
