One of the many clubs and activities at Townshend is the Green Team — a group that seeks to raise our awareness of environmental issues in practical ways. At Assembly today, Green Team members Anna-Marie Stein and Merle Birn gave a brief presentation on consumerism, and presented a short video entitled “Man” by Steve Cutts, that gave us a humorous opportunity to reflect on our impact on the planet. Green Team advisor, Martina Pickering, then brought out the new recycling bins that are being introduced onto every floor of the dormitories to help with recycling of plastic. Enjoy the video!
