A year ago, students and staff from Townshend travelled two hours north to Milovice, where, in collaboration with the Czech Institute of Sciences, they participated in preparing a site for the re-introduction of wild horses into the Czech Republic. They returned this year, to witness the fruits of their labor, and to continue assisting with the wildlife service project. They were able to see some of the horses that had been settled in the area, and to participate in the identification of plants and other environmental factors related to the health of the horses. The collaboration was arranged by our biology and physics teacher, Dr. Julie Wolfova. She was accompanied by staff members, Rumi Palsha, Sepehr Taheri, and Anah Van Dorp. The day ended with a Bar-B-Que before heading back to Townshend.
