Townshend History Fair

COME EXPLORE AND DISCOVER WITH US AT THE

TOWNSHEND HISTORY FAIR

FRIDAY FEBRUARY, 12 2016 from 1:00 - 2:10 PM in the Cabana Room

This year Upper Primary history has been very fascinating, as we have been covering topics ranging from the origins of the universe, the solar system, dinosaurs, hominids, ancient Mesopotamia, and the code of Hammurabi. We are now exploring more in-depth the history of Latin America going through the Ages of Exploration, Conquest, and Revolutions. As part of our curriculum, we will be hosting a History Fair on Friday, February 12 2016 and we would like to invite you to attend this event that will take place from 1:00 PM – 2:10 PM in the afternoon. The History Fair offers a creative, hands-on approach to help students develop basic reading, writing, and research skills, and build valuable critical thinking and communication skills. For the History Fair, students are researching (both in and out of school) various topics related to Latin American history such as the Aztec, Inca and Maya empires, conquistadors, colonialism, pirates of the Caribbean, and revolutionary movements.

I hope you will find time to come join our educational journey of Discovery and Exploration this February 12 at the Townshend History Fair!
