It was a pleasure to welcome singer-songwriter, Robert Gillies, back to Townshend. This was Robert’s first visit back to Townshend since his graduation in 2003. He performed two concerts for the student body, spent time in classes, connected with students in the dormitory, and rekindled memories with staff who are still here from his time at Townshend. He spent time with students discussing topics as varied as ethics in the music industry, making a personal impact, the connection between spirituality and creativity, and the process of creating music. Robert and his wife, Rezal, visited us in the midst of a European concert tour. It was a pleasure to have them here, and we look forward to their return.
