Townshend primary school Book Week started last Monday, and was filled with fun activities to encourage a love of books and reading.
On Friday the children took part in a Book Parade dressed as their favourite characters. It was great to see Mary Poppins, Robin Hood, Ivy & Bean, Superman, and many, many more characters take to the stage... And of course, several flew in with cloaks and wands, reflecting the rising popularity of the Harry Potter series with our middle & upper primary classes!
There was also a book fair which took place in the afternoon, followed by tea and cake with parents - a perfect finale before the Easter Weekend.
