This year we are going to work hard to memorize our multiplication facts quickly. Over the year, students will take a quiz where they have 3 minutes to answer 40 questions on a multiplication factor. They become a master of that factor if they can complete the quiz with a maximum of 2 mistakes. If they are not successful, they can practice and let me know when they want to try again. Once they achieve a factor they write their name on the factor, see picture below.
By the end of this year (May), my goal is for all the students to become multiplication masters from 1-12. There will be a halfway party for students who have become masters of half of the factors in March. Students that have not reached the goal will practice during that time. PRACTICE, PRACTICE PRACTICE!
